Summer child care options available child care options available <p>​</p><p><strong>Summer child care options available </strong></p><p>The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) supports your child care needs by offering full-day child care programs in select schools across Simcoe County. Twenty schools offer child care programs for children from Junior Kindergarten age to 12 years old. Registration in advance is required. Please contact the child care operator directly to register. More information can be found on our website at <a href=""><span style="text-decoration:underline;"></span></a> – click on 'Schools' then 'Before & After School Care.'</p>

May 3rd (new date)- WE Walk for Water 3rd (new date)- WE Walk for Water<p>​Due to the amount of snow we have on our school yard, we have postponed the WE Walk until Thursday, May 3rd.</p><p> </p><p>On <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">Wednesday, April 25th </span>the Emma King Staff and Students will be participating with the WE Charity in the WE Walk for Water campaign.  Students  have received pledge forms and online donations can be made at:  <a href=""></a></p>
Yearbook Orders Orders<p>​Yearbook Order Forms have been sent home. The deadline for orders is Thursday, April 26th.  Yearbooks are $20 and payment may be made: online; by cheque made out to Emma King E.S.; or by cash.  Please be sure to send in a paper order form indicating your child's name, grade and teacher.</p>
PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER! DRESS FOR THE WEATHER!<p>​Mother Nature has been giving us all kinds of weather!  </p><p>Just a reminder to all our families that students need to come to school prepared to be outside for recess.  Please dress for the weather. <strong style="text-decoration:underline;">It is a good idea to pack a change of clothing in case you get wet at recess</strong>.</p><p>We also remind students to bring indoor shoes.  Students are required to change from their wet outdoor footwear to dry indoor shoes or slippers. This is for student safety, students should not be in the halls and classrooms  in bare feet or stocking feet.</p>

Registration is Underway!<p>​Please contact Mrs. Leach in the office (705-728-5401) if you have a child to register.  Registration packages are available at the school office.</p><p> </p><p>Do you (or someone you know) have a child who was born in 2014? If so, it's almost time to register them for Kindergarten in the SCDSB! Beginning Jan. 22, our elementary schools will register children for Kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year. Required registration documents include birthdate documentation, proof of address and immunization records. Looking for a way to create flexibility in their timetable and earn a credit? Consider summer school! Each year, the SCDSB offers a variety of summer programs to over 2,000 students. Summer school options include open, college and university level courses from Grades 9 to 12. Courses are offered in-person or online. Interested students can also travel and earn credits with the summer EduTravel program.<strong> </strong>Summer school program details can be found on the Learning Centres website at <a href=""><span style="text-decoration:underline;"></span></a>. Current SCDSB students should speak to their guidance counsellor for information and to register. Register now so that your summer school choices align with course selection for next year!</p>
