Dear Parents,
There are many exciting new initiatives this year, with a particular emphasis on developing deeper understanding in reading, writing and math problem solving.
Ask your child what his or her learning goals are this week.Ask about WALT. We are currently looking at how we hear questions in our head as we read.
Good readers are making sense of the words as we go. We have questions before, during and after. Some of our questions are answered in the book, some with discussion and some by research, and some may never be answered!
We are looking forward to the Nutcracker musical which we are learning. It will be performed in December 15th for the school during the day and one evening performance on the same day. Book that date in your calendar!
